The term civic engagement can be a tough one to wrap our minds around. In New Hampshire Defines Civic Engagement, a team of young people sets out on a road trip across the Granite State, seeking definitions from people in the news. Among those talking about their own commitment to civic engagement are Governor John Lynch, U.S. Senator Judd Gregg, former Governor Jeanne Shaheen, State Senator Lou D'Allesandro, Attorney Bill Shaheen, Attorney Ann Kuster, Businessman Rich Ashooh, and New Hampshire Commissioner of Education Lyonel Tracy. You will also hear from people who, while probably unknown to you and me, are nonetheless making a difference in their communities, state and/or nation through volunteerism, voting, or direct involvement in policy change.
